We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the unceded ancestral lands on which we live and create. We honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ enduring connections to Country and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. For they hold the wisdom, culture, and practices of this country.

We also acknowledge Indigenous peoples and traditional communities worldwide whose lands and knowledge have sustained the plants we use for generations, yet who may receive no benefit from their cultivation, harvest and trade. Contemporary herbalism draws on many cultural and healing traditions, whose knowledge has often been appropriated and commercialised without consent, recognition or reciprocal benefit. We honour the healers and communities who preserve and pass on these traditions, and our responsibility to respect their knowledge, rights and cultural authority in how we source, create and practise.
